It rained all day, and we almost decided to cancel our plans, weighed down by the gloomy weather that seemed to cast a shadow over everything. The relentless drizzle made it easy to second-guess our decision, but with Sandra and Luke's wedding rapidly approaching, there was a sense of urgency that pushed us to go ahead.
The dramatic weather created a moody yet enchanting backdrop at Raglan Beach, where the waves crashed against the shore, and the scent of the ocean mingled with the fresh, rain-soaked earth. The combination of the dark clouds and the emerging sunlight painted a scene that felt almost cinematic.
I was 25 weeks pregnant at the time and Sandra and Luke helped (pushed haha!) me up the mountain biking trail nearby. The trail was steep and rugged, but the climb paid off with some epic elevated shots looking back towards the beach.
It was a reminder that sometimes, taking risks and embracing the unexpected can lead to the most beautiful moments.
